fDoI – FLOATING DREAMS OF IMAGINATION
Based on travel, architecture & industrial photography, in this series I create countless layers of lines & shapes to create 3 dimensional spaces & worlds that deal with the visualization of our dreams.
Sigmund Freud, the inventor of psychoanalysis, saw in dreams clues to hidden desires of the sleeper, which are suppressed in the waking state and then satisfied at night in dreams. Freud described dreams as the “royal road to the unconscious”.
Carl Gustav Jung, the founder of analytical psychology, also attached great importance to dreams: He sees them as a level of communication between the conscious and the unconscious.
“People have always been fascinated by the vivid, often bizarre imagery of dreams” – Günter Harnisch
